Taking a break from This American Slang week to...
One thing that I love about smoking American Spirits is that I usually only smoke about two thirds of any given cigarette. That means when I run out at one in the morning, I’m afforded the luxury of rummaging through my ashtray for that perfect one third of a cigarette. Just enough tobacco to get me on my way.
This is something that some non-smokers probably smirk at and think to themselves...
I can't stop eating sugar snap peas.
I feel like an 18 year-old anorexic girl with “nuthing 2 lose.” If I could survive on just sugar snap peas, beer, and cigarettes for the rest of my life, I would. I know what you’re thinking, “two of these things don’t sound like the other”, but I can’t help it - I love sugar snap peas.
Typical Saturday night conversation.
Me: Ugh, badgers look so mean. Her: Of course they do! Haven’t you ever read Wind in the Willows? Me: Yeah, but they aren’t all mean. Look at that one badger from Redwall. He was heroic. Her: Yeah but that’s fictional. Me: So is Wind in the Willows. Her: How can you say that!?
