me: It just occurred to me that we say someone is "on" a tv show while we say someone is "in" a movie.

me: And sometimes we'll say so and so was "in" a TV show but never so and so was "on" a movie
me: "yeah, I know John Candy, he was on Stripes" just sounds weird but "oh, John Goodman, he was on Rosanne" doesn't
