38. I like to clean my water color palette about once every couple of months. The paint tends to build up and I also get into a rut of using the same colors over and over. I don’t like to waste paint though, so whenever I clean the palette, I try to use up as much of the paint as I can by indulging in whatever pigment is left. I don’t make a draft or a sketch, I just doodle with the paint. Tonight I dissolved most of the big, dry globs of prussian and cerulean blues. Now the palette is mostly greens, yellows, and a few browns for tomorrow. I got kind of carried away with ink though.
